L-Theanine is my favorite herbal supplement to use.

It is non habit forming and has a similar effect Xanax and other benzodiazepines, without the risk of dependence and withdrawal.

100-300mg a day 1 - 3x daily depending on your need.

Magnesium Citrate is also good. Is is very calming on the nervous system. Many people are magnesium deficient with modern day diets. Take 400mg before bed for a restful nights sleep.
